ZoomLock MAX Press Tool & Jaw Compatibility Guide

ZoomLock MAX is a refrigerant press-fitting system, not a generic copper jaw profile. Parker maps ZoomLock MAX jaws to compatible 19, 24 and 32 kN press tools, and the jaw class must match the exact tool.

Compatibility first

This page separates the power tool from the jaw, ring or die-head family required for the actual connection. A matching size alone does not establish approval.

ZoomLock MAX tool selection starts with the jaw force class

Parker/Sporlan's ZoomLock MAX documentation is explicit: ZoomLock MAX fittings can only be connected with ZoomLock MAX jaws. Parker then maps those jaws to compatible press tools by force class — primarily 19 kN, 24 kN and 32 kN.

This is different from choosing a generic copper plumbing jaw. ZoomLock MAX is an HVAC/R refrigerant fitting system using ACR copper, so the correct system-specific jaw profile is mandatory even when a plumbing press tool has enough force to close a similarly sized jaw.

DEWALT compact ZoomLock MAX / MaxiPro jaws

DEWALT also sells a dedicated compact ACR jaw family for the DCE210 that it identifies as compatible with ZoomLock MAX and >B< MaxiPro. DEWALT lists seven sizes: 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8 and 1-1/8 inch. This gives DCE210 owners a manufacturer-documented ACR attachment path even though Parker's older tool table was built around the broader 19/24/32 kN families and may not list every newer tool model.

When a tool manufacturer releases a new system-specific jaw after a fitting manufacturer's matrix revision, the prudent approach is to check both sources. The Jaw Compatibility Finder therefore distinguishes documented tool-side fit from fitting-system approval when those source sets are not perfectly synchronized.

ZoomLock MAX vs RLS

Both systems target flame-free HVAC/R refrigerant connections, and many of the same press tools appear in both ecosystems. That does not make the jaws interchangeable. RLS and ZoomLock MAX have different fitting designs and approval matrices. The correct workflow is to identify the fitting brand/system first and then select the jaw family approved for that system.

Frequently asked questions

Does ZoomLock MAX require special jaws?

Yes. Parker states that ZoomLock MAX fittings can only be connected with jaws designed for ZoomLock MAX products. A generic CTS plumbing jaw is not an approved substitute.

Which press-tool force classes are used with ZoomLock MAX?

Parker's current documentation groups compatible press tools around 19 kN, 24 kN and 32 kN ZoomLock MAX jaw families. The exact jaw set must match the tool class.

Can a Milwaukee M12 be used for ZoomLock MAX?

Parker's compatibility table lists Milwaukee M12 FORCE LOGIC on the 24 kN jaw path. Use the ZoomLock MAX jaw family intended for that tool class and size.

Can the DEWALT DCE200 be used for ZoomLock MAX?

Yes. Parker lists the DEWALT DCE200 as a compatible 32 kN tool when used with the correct ZoomLock MAX jaws.

What ZoomLock MAX sizes are covered by the common jaw kits?

Parker's seven-piece 19, 24 and 32 kN jaw kits include 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8 and 1-1/8 inch jaws. Parker lists a separate 1-3/8 inch jaw for the 32 kN family.

Is ZoomLock MAX the same jaw system as RLS?

No. Both are refrigerant press fitting systems, but their jaw profiles and approval matrices are system-specific. Do not use one system's jaw merely because the tube size and press-tool force class match.
