RLS Press Tool Guide
RLS publishes an approval matrix by tool force class and jaw manufacturer. It lists both DCE200 and DCE210, but the jaw family differs by tool class.

DEWALT press-tool compatibility
DEWALT has both compact and standard press-tool platforms. The useful choice is not just battery brand: it is whether the exact fitting system, size and jaw or ring family are documented for the DCE210 or DCE200.
Compatibility first
This page separates the power tool from the jaw, ring or die-head family required for the actual connection. A matching size alone does not establish approval.

DEWALT now has two materially different press-tool paths that matter for selection. The DCE210 is the compact, inline 20V MAX platform. It is intended for compact-series jaws and prioritizes access, one-handed positioning and common service sizes. The DCE200 is the larger standard 20V MAX platform. It accepts standard jaws, rings and approved cross-brand attachments and is the better starting point when the work extends into 2-inch IPS or 2-1/2–4-inch CTS press sizes.
Those tool classes should not be treated as interchangeable just because both use DEWALT 20V MAX batteries. The attachment interface and verified size range are different, and that difference is more important than the shared battery platform.
| Tool | Class | Verified examples | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| DCE210 | Compact · 24–26 kN rated ram force | ProPress 1/2–1-1/4; MegaPress 1/2–1; PureFlow 1/2–1-1/2; selected HVAC/R jaw families | Tight spaces, overhead work and common service sizes |
| DCE200 | Standard · 34–38 kN ram force | CTS copper/stainless through 4 in.; IPS carbon/stainless through 2 in.; approved standard cross-brand attachments | Broader plumbing/mechanical capacity and larger rings |
The figures above summarize documented examples, not a universal capacity promise. Always verify the exact fitting system, attachment and size in the current compatibility chart.
DEWALT's current DCE210 compatibility chart gives unusually clear limits for the compact platform. Viega ProPress copper and ProPress 316 stainless use DEWALT Compact CTS jaws from 1/2 through 1-1/4 inch. Viega MegaPress, MegaPressG and MegaPress 304/316 use DEWALT Compact IPS jaws from 1/2 through 1 inch. DEWALT also sells compact PureFlow jaws from 1/2 through 1-1/2 inch.
For refrigeration work, DEWALT offers compact ACR jaws that it identifies for ZoomLock MAX and >B< MaxiPro in seven common sizes from 1/4 through 1-1/8 inch. RLS's current tool-and-jaw matrix also lists the DCE210 with the 24 kN RIDGID jaw family through 1-3/8 inch. Because RIDGID's own RLS jaw instructions have historically used narrower tool-brand wording, PipeTradesTools.com treats any cross-brand conflict conservatively and directs users to the exact current matrix rather than assuming fit from jaw geometry.
The DCE200 is a different class of tool. DEWALT states that the tool can press copper and stainless applications from 1/2 through 4 inches when paired with the correct standard CTS jaws or rings. Its compatibility chart also lists Viega MegaPress and MegaPressG through 2 inches using standard IPS jaws/rings. For PEX, the chart identifies RIDGID Standard PureFlow jaws as a compatible accessory family.
The DCE200 chart is also notable because DEWALT explicitly lists selected RIDGID Standard ProPress jaws/rings and Milwaukee M18 jaws/rings as compatible attachments for several CTS and IPS fitting systems. That is a documented cross-brand path, not a general statement that all standard jaws interchange. The fitting system and individual attachment still have to appear in the applicable chart.
RLS publishes an approval matrix by tool force class and jaw manufacturer. It lists both DCE200 and DCE210, but the jaw family differs by tool class.
Parker's ZoomLock MAX documentation organizes jaw compatibility around 19, 24 and 32 kN tool classes. DEWALT also sells compact DCE210 jaws specifically named for ZoomLock MAX / MaxiPro.
Confirm whether your work needs the DCE210 compact or DCE200 standard attachment family before comparing kits.
The DCE210 is DEWALT's compact 24 kN-class inline press tool for smaller attachment families and tight-space work. The DCE200 is the larger standard press platform with roughly 34–38 kN ram force and broader large-diameter CTS/IPS attachment coverage.
DEWALT's current DCE210 compatibility chart lists Viega ProPress and ProPress 316 with DEWALT Compact CTS jaws from 1/2 through 1-1/4 inch.
Yes. DEWALT's compatibility chart lists Compact IPS jaws for Viega MegaPress, MegaPress 304/316 and MegaPressG from 1/2 through 1 inch.
DEWALT's current compatibility chart lists CTS jaw/ring paths through 4 inches for Viega ProPress copper and stainless applications and IPS jaw/ring paths through 2 inches for Viega MegaPress and MegaPressG.
Selected DEWALT tools have documented HVAC/R paths. RLS lists DCE200 and DCE210 in its approved tool/jaw matrix, and DEWALT sells DCE210 compact jaws specifically identified for ZoomLock MAX and >B< MaxiPro. Verify the exact jaw family and current fitting-manufacturer instructions before pressing.
No. The DCE210 uses DEWALT Compact Series attachments, while the DCE200 uses the larger standard attachment interface. Match the attachment family to the exact tool model and fitting system.
